Article 86: How to Use the Notes Feature in Task Center

Overview

The Notes feature in LedgerSync's Task Center allows you to attach internal notes to any task. Notes are visible to the task assignee and anyone with access to the task, making it easy to pass along context, instructions, or important details without cluttering the main task description or conversation thread.

How to Add a Note to a Task

  1. Open the Task Center from the LedgerSync navigation menu.
  2. Locate and click on the task you want to annotate.
  3. In the task detail panel that opens, look for the Notes icon (sticky note icon) in the top tab bar — it appears next to the Task and Attachments tabs.
  4. Click the Notes icon to open the Notes panel.
  5. Click the + button to add a new note.
  6. Type your note content and save.

Who Can See Notes

  • Notes are visible to the task assignee and anyone with access to that specific task.
  • Use notes to pass along internal context, reference details, or instructions that don't belong in the main task description.

Best Practices

  • Use notes to provide background information or clarification to the assigned team member without sending a separate message.
  • Add notes when reassigning a task so the new assignee has full context.
  • Keep notes concise and action-oriented for clarity.
