Why wont my Capital One Bank Statements automatically sync?

Why wont my Capital One Bank Statements automatically sync?

The Problem with Capital One:

Since the inception of BANK FEEDS, Capital One has always been extremely difficult to work with.  Most financial institutions understand the need for accountants to be able to fetch data for their clients and offer API connections or authorized security tokens that allow Ledgersync to automate the data connection process.  Capital One does not. Instead of store a security credential, Capital One forces their users through a Multi-factor authorization process every single time they log in.  Unfortunately it's impossible to automate bank statement fetching for this bank.

The Work-Around Solution:

Ledgersync can still fetch your data for you but we need your help.  In order to retrieve bank statements you have to click on " REFRESH DATA" and complete the prompt for a new bank token code. Once you enter the 6 digit code, Ledgersync should begin the process of fetching the bank statements.
This needs to be done every month in order to fetch the statements.

In the event there is an error we will work with you to resolve this.

** We know requesting a bank token is not ideal  but this is a constraint from the bank.
An alternative is to use the Running Balance feature which is described in another article.
