How do I use the Detailed report on the Dashboard to see each client's banks and accounts?

The Detailed report on the Dashboard shows your bank connections client by client. Each client row opens to show its banks, and each bank opens to show its accounts, so you can see where the problems are without opening each client one at a time.

Who can use it

Everyone in your firm who can open the Dashboard can use the Detailed report. Each person sees only the clients they have access to.

Switching it on and off

  1. On the Dashboard, click Detailed report. The grid switches to the detailed view and the button changes to Default report.
  2. Click Default report to go back to the normal grid.

Only the grid changes. The tiles and filters at the top of the Dashboard stay where they are, and the Detailed report uses the same filters: the status filter, the bank list and the client search.

How the status filter works here

The status filter, and clicking a status tile, works on whole bank connections. A connection is shown only if its overall status matches the filter. A client with no matching connections is left out of the report.

Statuses

From worst to best, the statuses are:

  • Broken: problems the client can fix, such as signing in again, entering a new password or answering a security code. This matches the Broken Bank Connections tile.
  • Ledgersync error: problems on the LedgerSync or data provider side that the client cannot fix.
  • Review: the bank or data provider returned a status that someone should look at, for example an account the bank reports as closed. This matches the Review Accounts tile.
  • Success: the connection is working normally.

A bank connection takes the worst status among its accounts, and a client takes the worst status among its bank connections. So one broken account marks its bank and its client as Broken.

What each row shows

The first column is Client / Bank / Account. A bank with no accounts behind it cannot be opened. The other columns are:

  • Banks: the number of bank connections, on client rows.
  • Accounts, Broken, Review, Ledgersync error and Success: account counts, on client and bank rows. A Broken count above zero is shown in red.
  • Status: the status of the client, bank or account.
  • Reason: on bank rows, the error reason from an account that has the bank's status.
  • Last Transaction and Last Statement: on bank rows, the latest dates among its accounts. On account rows, the account's own dates. Client rows leave these empty.

Account rows work like the rows in the default Dashboard grid. The Last Statement cell can show a pill with the next expected statement date. Hover over the pill to see how confident that estimate is: green is high, yellow is medium and red is low.

The icons at the end of an account row are Update Statement (MasterCard and MX accounts), Update Transactions and Delete Account. Statements & Checks accounts don't show these icons.

Click a client's name to select that client in the sidebar.

Order and sorting

  • Clients are listed by name, A to Z. Banks are listed by bank name, and accounts by account name.
  • You can sort by the Client / Bank / Account column or the Status column only.
  • Sorting Status ascending puts the clients with the worst status first. Clients with the same status are listed by name.

Loading

The report loads 20 clients at a time and loads more as you scroll down. If it can't load, an error message appears, such as "Issue with getting the detailed report". To try again, click Default report and then Detailed report, or change a filter.

Exporting

The Detailed report has no export of its own. Click Export Data on the Dashboard to download an Excel file built from your current filters. It has the same three sheets whichever view you're on:

  • By client: Client Name, Banks, Accounts, Broken, Review, Ledgersync Error, Success and Status.
  • By bank: Client Name, Bank Name, Source, Accounts, Broken, Review, Ledgersync Error, Success, Status, Error Reason, Last Transaction Date and Last Statement Date.
  • By account: one row per account, with Client Name, Bank Name, Account Name, Account Number, Source, Account Status, Error Reason, Error Code, Last Transaction Date, Last Statement Date, Next Expected Statement Date and Confidence Tier.

If you've set a status filter, the By client and By bank sheets include only the bank connections whose overall status matches, and the By account sheet includes only the accounts whose own status matches.

On every sheet, the header row stays in view as you scroll and has filters already turned on.
