Overview
LedgerSync supports thousands of financial institutions through two bank data aggregators: Mastercard Open Finance and MX. Before connecting a client’s bank, you can check whether it is supported for statement aggregation, transaction aggregation, or both.
Option 1 — LedgerSync Public Supported-Banks Page (Easiest)
LedgerSync maintains a public, shareable page listing every supported bank, with the provider (Mastercard or MX) logo shown next to each bank name. This is the quickest way to check coverage — no login required — and it’s safe to send to prospects or clients.
- Search the bank by name
- The provider logo (Mastercard or MX) indicates which aggregator supports it
- Statement-support is indicated where available
Option 2 — In-App Statement Support Indicator
Inside LedgerSync, the statements page and account summary show a flag indicating whether statements are supported for a given bank. If statements are not supported for that institution, you’ll see an indicator and a link to submit a New Bank Request.
Option 3 — Ask the In-App Assistant
The in-app assistant can check the live supported-banks catalog and tell you whether a specific bank is supported and which connection method to use. If a bank truly isn’t supported, it will say so and offer to escalate a request — rather than guessing.
Option 4 — Mastercard Open Finance Directory
You can also verify Mastercard coverage directly at the Mastercard Open Finance Supported Institutions directory:
Look for green checkmarks in two columns:
- SA (Statement Aggregation) — bank statements are supported
- TA (Transaction Aggregation) — transactions are supported
A bank may support only one service (e.g., transactions but not statements). If Mastercard doesn’t support a bank, check whether MX does — LedgerSync routes each connection to whichever aggregator supports it. See the MX statement-aggregation article for the MX-specific bank list.
If Your Bank Isn’t Supported
- Try alternate names (e.g., "BofA" vs. "Bank of America") or the parent company name
- Submit a New Bank Request from within LedgerSync
- Consider a Premium Bank Connection or PDF statement upload as an alternative
