NotesPurpose: LedgerSync accounts may occasionally become locked due to security protections or login issues. This guide explains why your account may be locked and provides step-by-step instructions to quickly restore access.

Following these steps will help you regain access to:

·        Your LedgerSync dashboard

·        Client data

·        Bank connections

·        Statements and transactions

Why Accounts Become Locked or Inaccessible

Customers or Clients may be temporarily or permanently locked for the following reasons:

·        Multiple incorrect password attempts

·        Forgotten password

·        Forgotten username

How to Regain Access

Follow the steps below based on your situation.

Idea
Password Reset


If you forgot your password or entered it incorrectly multiple times:

1. ‘Click here to recover’ on the login page (under ‘Lost your password’)

2. Enter your registered username
You can select to receive the link via SMS if this is preferred.

3. Check your inbox for the password reset link


4. Create a new secure password
Once you click the link it will direct you to a page to create a new password


5. Log in again
Once the new password has been changed.

Before requesting support, try the following quick checks:


Your username is typically:

  • The email address used during account setup
  • The email where LedgerSync notifications are received
  • Provided in your original welcome or onboarding email


Tip: Search your inbox for “LedgerSync” or “Welcome” to locate your login details.


Follow the steps below to retrieve your account information.


Use the Password Reset Option


1.  Click ‘here to recover’ on the login page (under ‘Forgot your username?’)

2.  Enter your registered email
3.  Check your inbox for your username recovery
