Under the Tools menu link on the main page you’ll see an option for “Doc Storage”
Doc Storage is basically an internal folder system identical to dropbox. Full disclosure the backend is
Box.com- we use
BOX.com API
Every time a client is added to Ledgersync we automatically create a folder on the Document Storage page
There are a few things one can do on this page
1- The client if logged into Ledgersync on their computer can upload any document by dragging and dropping the document
2- There is a “unique” email address created for each client. That email address can be used to forward any attachment to Ledgersync’s document storage. Only the attachments are saved (not email text)
3- The accountant call also drag and drop documents into this folder
4- The accountant can create subfolders and organize data this way
This is Ledgersync’s attempt to save on document storage software
Please keep in mind this folder is static, Ledgersync does not fetch statements or transactions or statements and push data to these folders. Data has actively pushed by a user into these folders. No data is processed here either.
