Can LedgerSync read payee names from checks? 

Yes — LedgerSync uses AI to automatically extract payee names from scanned checks. This feature is fully available and working.

Keep in mind that accuracy depends on scan quality and handwriting clarity.

A) AI extraction works best on clearly printed or typed payee names. Sloppy handwriting may reduce accuracy.
B) Poor scan quality — such as a line running through the payee name or a low-resolution image — can affect results.
C) In some cases, the AI may insert special characters when attempting to interpret an unclear name.

The more corrections you make, the smarter the system gets over time — AI accuracy improves continuously with usage.

How Do You See The Payee Info In LedgerSync?

1- Use the LedgerSync Check Fetching feature found under Premium Banks.
2- LedgerSync will automatically extract the payee name from the scanned check using AI.
3- Review the extracted name, edit any mistakes, and save.

The check payee name is extracted and editable directly in the interface.



How do I export the data to my accounting software?

You can export payee data in the following file formats:
- CSV
- QBO
- OFX

Payee names are also integrated directly into the LedgerSync Transaction Table as a memo field, enabling import into all major accounting platforms.
