Before you start: Log into LedgerSync with your usual username and password.
At the top of the screen, click Client Actions.
From the menu, click Communication Center.
Look on the right-hand side of the page and click the Edit/Add Text Template Messages button.
A window titled Add New Message Template will pop up. This is where you’ll build your message.
Click the Template Type drop-down and pick what your message is for:
Invitation — to invite a client to join LedgerSync or invite the client to setup a new bank connection.
Issue to Resolve — to ask a client to fix something in the app, such as reconnecting a bank that has become disconnected.
Click the Template Channel drop-down and choose how you’d like the message delivered:
SMS — sends it as a text message to the client’s phone.
Email — sends it to the client’s email address.
Give your template a name. This is just for you — a clear name (like “Bank Reconnect Reminder”) makes it easy to find and reuse later.
In the Template Text box, type the message you want to send. You can write in any language or characters. To save time, use the placeholders — these automatically fill in details for you. For example, choosing Link to Bank drops in the name of the bank you’re asking the client to connect to, so you don’t have to type it manually.
Read through your message one more time to make sure everything looks right, then click Save.
That’s it! Your new template is ready to use. You’ll find it under Reconnect and Add Banks > Select Message Template whenever you want to send it.
