Overview

In LedgerSync, you can download a client’s transactions in multiple file formats directly from the Transactions tab. This works for all bank connection types, including Mastercard, MX, and PDF-uploaded accounts.

How to Download Transactions

1. Select the client from the left panel
2. Click the Transactions tab
3. Choose the account containing the transactions you want to export
4. Use the filter icon (right side) to set a date range if needed
5. Check the checkbox to select all transactions, or check individual rows
6. Click the Download button and choose your file format

Available Export Formats

All four export formats are available for all bank connection types — including accounts connected through MX and accounts where transactions were added via PDF upload.

Working with the Transactions Page

• Original bank description is preserved. If you edit a transaction’s description, LedgerSync keeps the bank’s original text on record so it’s never lost — your edit is what displays, but the original remains available.
• Memo field. A memo field is shown alongside each transaction, giving you additional detail beyond the description.
• Bank & account context. The transaction list shows the bank name and account type each transaction belongs to, so you always know its source.
• Filter down to sub-accounts. The account filter lets you narrow the view to an individual sub-account, not just the parent account.
• Force refresh. The transactions refresh action re-fetches directly from the bank so you can pull the very latest activity on demand.

Tips

• If you need to import into QuickBooks Desktop, use the QBO format and see: Importing Transactional Files Into QuickBooks Desktop if you encounter import errors
• For Accounting CS imports, use OFX format
• The file downloads to your computer’s downloads folder automatically
