Downloading Statements in Bulk

Downloading Statements in Bulk

Notes
Overview
LedgerSync automatically sends bank statements to your connected cloud storage as soon as they are pulled in — in real time, with no delay. You can also bulk download all historical statements at once to a designated cloud folder. This article covers both automatic syncing and bulk historical downloads.

Real-Time Statement Sync to Cloud Storage

When you connect a cloud storage service to LedgerSync (SharePoint, SmartVault, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box.com, or Xero Drive), statements are pushed to your designated folder as soon as they are retrieved from the bank. There is no nightly batch delay — if LedgerSync pulls a new statement at 2pm, it is in your cloud folder by 2pm.

This means:
  • Your team sees statements in cloud storage the same day they arrive in LedgerSync
  • You do not need to manually trigger downloads for current-month statements
  • Statements are organized into folders by client, bank, and account automatically

Bulk Downloading Historical Statements

To push all historical statements for a client to cloud storage at once:
  1. Go to the Statements tab for the client
  2. Select or filter to a specific bank account
  3. Check the top-left checkbox to select all available statements
  4. Click the Sync With dropdown and choose your cloud storage service
  5. LedgerSync pushes all selected statements to the mapped cloud folder

InfoYou must have a cloud storage integration set up in LedgerSync before bulk downloading. Statements must also be available in LedgerSync before they can be synced. Bulk download respects the existing folder structure configured for each client.

How to Set Up Client-Specific Cloud Folder Mapping

To map a specific client’s statements to a particular folder in your cloud storage:
  1. Go to Client Management
  2. Click Manage next to the client
  3. Select Cloud Mapping
  4. Choose the folder in your cloud storage where that client’s statements should go
  5. Click Save

How to Remove a Mapped Cloud Folder

If you mapped a client folder by mistake or need to clear the mapping and revert to the default folder structure:
  1. Go to Client Management > Manage > Cloud Mapping for the client
  2. Click Remove Mapping (or the trash/clear button next to the mapped folder)
  3. The mapping is cleared and the client’s path reverts to the default LedgerSync folder structure
Note: Removing a mapping does not delete any files already in your cloud storage. It only stops future statements from going to that specific folder — new statements will go to the default path going forward.
