How the LedgerSync QuickBooks Desktop App Connects

LedgerSync uses the official QuickBooks Desktop SDK, which is designed to communicate directly with a QuickBooks Desktop environment. Because of this, LedgerSync must be installed in the same environment where QuickBooks Desktop is running.

QuickBooks Desktop Remote Desktop and RightWorks

If you are using a hosted QuickBooks Desktop environment such as Remote Desktop or RightWorks, the following is required:

  • The LedgerSync QuickBooks Desktop application must be installed directly in the hosted QuickBooks Desktop environment.

  • The QuickBooks Desktop SDK must also be installed in that same hosted environment.

  • A user with administrator rights must install both:

    • The LedgerSync QuickBooks Desktop application

    • The QuickBooks Desktop SDK

  • To Download the Ledgersync QuickBooks Desktop App and install it, someone  from IT  OR RightWorks needs to  click here and download: https://ledgersyncappv2.com/services/api/quickbooks-desktop/installer/download

This ensures LedgerSync can properly and securely communicate with QuickBooks Desktop.
