Next Expected Statement Date — What It Means & How Confidence Tiers Work

Notes
Overview
LedgerSync displays a Next Expected Statement Date badge on connected bank accounts where enough statement history is available to make a reliable prediction. This helps you know when to expect the next monthly statement and whether a delay is normal or something to investigate.

What the Next Expected Statement Date Shows

For each connected account that has at least a few months of statement history, LedgerSync predicts the date when the next monthly statement is expected to appear. The prediction is calculated as:

Last statement date + 30 days + the bank’s typical delay

The typical delay accounts for the fact that different banks finalize and make statements available at different points in the month. For example, a bank that consistently makes statements available 3–5 days after the period ends will have that delay factored into the prediction.

Confidence Tiers

The prediction comes with a confidence tier that tells you how reliable it is, based on how much statement history LedgerSync has for that bank:

TierWhat It Means
HIGHLedgerSync has a strong history of statements for this bank and can predict the next date with high reliability
MEDIUMA reasonable prediction based on available history, but with some variability in that bank’s statement timing
LOWLimited history — the prediction is a rough estimate and may be off by several days. Treat with caution

MX Accounts

The Next Expected Statement Date badge also displays for accounts connected through the MX aggregator, not just Mastercard. Because MX accounts often have shorter available history, MX predictions may initially show at a MEDIUM or LOW confidence tier and improve over time as more months of data accumulate.

What to Do When a Statement Is Late

If the Next Expected Statement Date has passed and the statement has not appeared:
  1. Check the confidence tier — if it’s LOW, the delay may be within normal variation
  2. Give it 1–2 additional business days before escalating — some banks run 2–3 days late depending on the month
  3. If a statement that was expected based on a HIGH confidence prediction is more than 5 business days late, contact LedgerSync Support to investigate whether there is a bank connection or aggregation issue

Where to See This Badge
