How to Add a Bank Feed Connection in LedgerSync

Overview

Adding a bank feed connection in LedgerSync allows you to aggregate bank statements, transactions, and check images seamlessly. Follow the steps below to set up a bank connection based on your specific needs.

Steps to Add a Bank Feed Connection

  1. Log into the LedgerSync Application

    • Use your credentials to sign in to your LedgerSync account.

  2. Select the Client

    • In the left-hand panel, navigate to and select the client for whom you want to add the bank connection.

  3. Click on 'Add Bank Connection'

    • This will open a menu with multiple connection options.

  4. Choose a Connection Type

    • Select the appropriate option based on your needs:

    • Option 1: Mastercard API – Statements & Transactions

      • Use this option if you want to aggregate bank statements and transactions from a supported financial institution.

    • Option 2: Premium Bank Connections

      • Choose this if you need to aggregate check images or a bank connection that is not supported under Mastercard API: Statements & Transactions.

    • Option 3: Capital One Statements

      • This is a LedgerSync-created connection specifically for retrieving bank statements from Capital One.

      • Note: Capital One bank transactions will still be found under Option 1: Mastercard API – Statements & Transactions.

  5. Security Review (If Selecting Option 1)

    • If selecting Option 1: Mastercard API – Statements & Transactions, review the security pop-up and then click Next.

    • If selecting Option 2: Premium Bank Connection, you can skip this step

  6. Search for the Bank Connection

    • If selecting Option 1: Mastercard API – Statements & Transactions or Option 2: Premium Bank Connections, search for the bank you would like to connect.

  7. Follow Login Credentials

    • Enter the required login credentials to connect the account successfully.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure the correct connection type is selected based on the data you need to retrieve.

  • Some banks may require additional authentication during the setup process.

  • If you experience issues connecting a bank, contact LedgerSync Support for assistance.
